Aberdare National Park - Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara ~ Relaxing Destination


This 5-night safari visits a contrasting trio of parks, the Aberdares, Lake Naivasha and finally three nights in the world-famous Masai Mara.
Animals commonly seen are elephants, lions, cheetahs, Grevy's zebras, giraffes, gerenuks, buffaloes, oryx, gazelles, dik diks and waterbucks. The river forest attracts a wide variety of birds.


Day 1 Nairobi - Aberdares
Our representative will pick you at 0700hrs and leave for Aberdare to arrive in time for lunch at the Aberdare Country Club. After lunch continue to Ark Lodge. The afternoon is at leisure as you relax on the deck overlooking the waterhole.

Ark Lodge
Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, iconic and yes, quirky. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Resembling and named after Noah’s Ark, The Ark comprises of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. So that you don’t miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole. The Ark has four viewing areas for observing the ever-present animal activity


Day 2 Aberdares - Lake Naivasha
Drive to Lake Naivasha (220 kms) one of the Great Rift Valley Lakes, where over 450 species of birds have been recorded. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon enjoy a boat ride on the Lake.

Lake Naivasha Country Club
From the top of the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley you can see Lake Naivasha sparkling in the sun thousands of feet below. Lake Naivasha Country Club offers an abundance of activities to please all tastes. The Nairobi Kenya resort dates back to the 1930’s when it was first opened as a staging post for Imperial Airways flying boat service from Durban to Dublin. Since then it has transformed into a sprawling 55-acre property with a variety of accommodations and guest facilities.


Day 3 Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara
Drive to the magnificent Masai Mara (270 km), home to countless animal species including the 'big five' and a multitude of plains game. Lunch at your lodge followed by an afternoon game drive.

Mara Leisure Camp
Set in what is considered Kenya's prime wildlife area, Mara Leisure Camp is located along the Talek River, at the confluence of the Masai Mara's four wildlife viewing areas, on the northern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Mara Leisure Camp is located within one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Masai Mara Game Reserve.


Days 4 & 5 - Masai Mara
Two full days in the magnificent Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. An early morning balloon safari over the Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast can be done in place of one of the morning game drive (optional extra charge). The rest of the time is at leisure to relax.
Overnight : Mara Leisure Camp

Day 6 Masai Mara- Nairobi 
After breakfast drive to Nairobi (335 km - approximately 5 hours), or fly from the Masai Mara to Nairobi - morning flight or lunch in the Masai Mara and afternoon flight (optional extra - price on request).
